State red snapper are hot. The next few days the ocean will be perfect. Low winds and no swells. Perfect for people that can't go out because they get sea sick. It's going to be flat all the way till monday. Out side the jetties will be producing by bull reds and sharks.... offshore trolling for big king fish and rock fishing will be good.

Fishing report from Chris O. in Little River, South Carolina

The grouper are starting to moving in about 60 to 70 foot of water. We're catching a good mix of keepers and a few shorts on live pin fish and pogies. As for inshore most of the flounder are moving in from the reefs and there's a good amount of fish around the creek mouths and deeper channels. The best baits have been finger mullet or smaller pogies. Theres been a good push of redfish around the jetty rocks, grass flats and backwater creeks. We've been catching them on live shrimp, pogies, and finger mullet. As for trout it's been slim pickins the few we've been catching have been around the jetties and shell banks on live shrimp.

The recreational Mississippi state for hire Reds Snapper season has reopened as of Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, and will close once the annual catch limit (ACL) is projected to be met. Only state for hire Charters and recreational fisherman can fish the state season. We fish up to 9 miles south of the barrier islands. The season is projected to stay open through the fall months. This would be an excellent time to catch some beautiful Red Snapper.

Red grouper and mango snapper are still on fire in and around 100 feet. Red snapper are thick and become a nuisance when you can't keep em. But they are big and fun.

Fishing report from Taco P. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

July fishing off the coast of fort Lauderdale had it’s ups and it’s downs butt all in all it was a good month for catching. We had a real hard time fishing due to all the sea weed in the ocean. This was one of the toughest months we have had in a long time trying to fish and trying our best to keep the seaweed off our baits. But at the end of the month looking back while yep the seaweed was a real pain the fishing was actually pretty good. The tunas were biting well all month along with a few Wahoo’s. One new thing we tried just to get around the sea weed was anchoring up in front of a ship wreck and WOW it paid off for us with some great bottom fishing along with a couple of sailfish. Also found a Cuban raft floating! Coast Guard had marked it so they must have gotten everyone off? So the sea weed actually helped and made us think out side of the box and went back to basics and fished like we did way back when.
