Since the weather keeps fluctuating, most of the fish have been scattered, but are of good quality. We have been encountering Redfish, Trout and snook on the flats, but the tide and area has been crucial. Cut bat and small pinfish are working well. Artificials have been working great, bait such as mirror lures in the skin series such as pinfish or finger mullet have been catching all 3 inshore species. Also soft plastics like exude dart, mirror lure prevoker and gulp on 16th ounce Jighead have produced some big redfish, Trout, and Snook while we are fishing with bait has helped to locate the schools. Also be prepared for cobia or triple tail as they will show up when you least expect it. This happened to us on Tuesday with couple nice cobia.

The fall inshore fishing is really heating up!The bull reds are staging at the inlets and jetties for their annual spawn and will readily take live or fresh cut mullet. The flats fishing has been great and will only get better as the mullet and shrimp begin to leave with the cooling water. The bait of choice has been live finger mullet. The speckled trout bite has been good on live shrimp and artificials. Look for the trout to really bunch up through November and December. The best fishing of the year is the next couple of months. Get out there!

I have always said when the weather is good the fishing is good. A recent stretch of favorable weather seems to have improved the fishes' appetites. Snook, Reds, and trout are making up for lost time on the flats as the bite is becoming more consistent.

30a offshore. We have wrapped up the October fall snapper dates. We continue to find quality fish despite the high winds and big seas. Everything from big red snapper, scamp grouper, big trash can lid triggerfish, bull vermillion, even rainbow runners. The cold front that has came through has sparked off the kings also. Still waiting for the big run of the fall blackfin tuna. 30a inshore. We are seeing the bull redfish still pretty consistently. Some days are better than others but they're still around. We are catching slots around docks and some of the drop offs. Flats in the morning for them and later in the evening. Still catching a few trout also. Hopefully in the next few weeks the sheepshead bite will pick up for us here in the Choctawhatchee.

Hey David the fishing has been productive. We are catching cobia and mackerel on the inshore reefs. Trout, redfish and snook are still feeding in the bay. Sharks and tuna are adding some more fun to the party as well!!

Redfish have been plentiful in the bays ,rivers and, back lakes. Trout bite is good when the wind allows us to get out into the bay. Flounder are starting to fill channels and drains on their big move to spawn. Live shrimp under a popping cork, gulp on a jighead , and free lining mullet have been the ticket.

Fishing report from Ryan W. in Yscloskey, Louisiana Book a trip with Captain Ryan here.

Fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana has been nothing short of amazing this fall. The cooler temps are really putting these speckled trout and redfish in their fall patterns. We've had a huge push of sheepshead the last week or 2 along with the already plentiful speckled trout. Running grass lines and oyster reefs for trout , throwing live shrimp or artificial baits under a cork and carolina rigging live shrimp and DOA shrimp have been a killer the last few weeks. The fishing is looking to continue like this for a good while.
