Fishing report from Jason L. in Cedar Key, Florida Book a trip with Captain Jason here.

Fall is so close you can almost taste it...well you can feel it in the air a little. I love this time of year-pumpkin spice lattes, fall decorations...nope! I love this time of year because the temps get more bearable, and the fishing gets great. September and October are probably my favorite months to fish. The redfish bite in Cedar Key is getting right. They school up this time of year and if you find one then there are probably more. Give them some time to eat. Shrimp, mullet and artificial lures are the way to go. Keep in mind that the redfish laws changed as of September 1st. Go to the myfwc website to get the latest info depending on the region you fish. I like to look for moving water. Anything where water is getting pushed or funneled through is a good place to start. If water is getting funneled through a tight spot, then bait is getting funneled through that same spot and bigger fish know that. I also like to look for bait getting hit. If I see a lot of bait getting pushed around a natural funnel spot, then it can be a like a gold mine..or a redfish mine. The trout bite has picked up some. The normal popping cork rig will work. Just keep searching the flats and you should pick them up. They should get better as the water temps cool down some. I still run with the Bass Assassin Sea Shad in a Green Moon color or a Stinky Pink color. Enjoy some football and some fishing over the next few months. In an effort to multi task, you can always listen to the game on the radio while you are fishing!!

Fishing report from Bryan C. in Biloxi, Mississippi

Fall is on its way. With that, it's usually awesome fishing for redfish in Biloxi Mississippi. October is normally one of the best months to catch slot Reds in the bay and bull Reds around the Barrier Islands. With the water soon cooling off the action will surely heat up. Biloxi Mississippi is the place to be for some of the best fall fishing.

Fishing has been on fire as the weather gets cooler and lighter winds come around. The shrimp are thick inshore, allowing drum and trout easy meals. Nearshore, there are acres of Spanish Mackerel, albacore, and bluefish are busting glass minnows. Dropping on deep water ledges has been providing nice flounder bites as well

Wading and fishing out of the boat have both been good in east matagorda bay, the flats, back lakes, and reefs are covered in redfish and flounder. Been using mostly lure such as topwater, downsouths, and gulp. Live shrimp and cut bait have been productive as well.

Fishing in Galveston bay has been good. Lots of trout being caught in the deeper water over shell and near the many gas wells. Best bite is on live shrimp. Fish are also on shallow reefs in Trinity bay. A mix of black drum, speckled trout and the occasional slot redfish. Bull reds are beginning to school in the open water. Water clarity is good.

Fishing report from Chris O. in Little River, South Carolina Book a trip with Captain Chris here.

The grouper are starting to moving in about 60 to 70 foot of water. We're catching a good mix of keepers and a few shorts on live pin fish and pogies. As for inshore most of the flounder are moving in from the reefs and there's a good amount of fish around the creek mouths and deeper channels. The best baits have been finger mullet or smaller pogies. Theres been a good push of redfish around the jetty rocks, grass flats and backwater creeks. We've been catching them on live shrimp, pogies, and finger mullet. As for trout it's been slim pickins the few we've been catching have been around the jetties and shell banks on live shrimp.
