About Your Trip
The open ocean is calling, and Captain Mike knows how to make the most of a day beyond the reef. From chasing hard-fighting pelagics to dropping baits into the depths, this offshore adventure brings plenty of variety and the chance to tangle with some serious fish.
The day kicks off by catching fresh live bait before heading offshore. Depending on the season and conditions, you might fly kites for Sailfish, run to the humps for
Tuna, work floating grass patches for Mahi Mahi, or head into deeper water for Tilefish, Grouper, Snapper, and even Swordfish. Captain Mike likes to mix up techniques throughout a full day, keeping the action fresh and giving anglers a shot at a variety of species. Fresh live bait and lighter tackle are at the heart of his approach.
You'll head offshore aboard Captain Mike's 29-foot Sea Vee, a fishing machine built for pursuing big fish in blue water. Captain Mike takes pride in his vessel and makes sure it's ready for whatever the day brings.
Safety is always a top priority, with life jackets for adults and kids, an EPIRB, satellite phone, first aid supplies, flares, fire extinguishers, and required Coast Guard safety equipment onboard.
From the first bait in the livewell to the final run back to the dock, this trip is all about putting in a full day on the water and seeing what the offshore bite has in store.
