Captain Jodie is a USCG licensed captain, has his TPWD guide license, and is fully insured. Captain Jodie has fished and lived near Port Aransas, Texas for many years and is an extremely experienced fishing guide on these waters.

We provide 4 hour and 8 hour guided fishing trips of up to 5 fisherman daily near Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, Aransas Pass, Rockport, and surrounding areas. We can also accommodate larger groups by request. Each guided trip will mainly be in search of redfish, black drum, flounder, and speckled trout while out in the bays.

How did you get started guiding?

Captain Jodie Penn is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and moved to Port Aransas in 2015 to become a full time fishing guide. Captain Jodie has spent most of those days out in the water scouting for fish, or with his family who he lives locally in town with. It was always Captain Jodie's dream to start his own fishing guide service, and this year he was able to do that. Penn Coastal Fishing Guide Services is owned and operated by Captain Jodie Penn and his family. He hopes to one day pass the business down to his daughter.
