Captain John has spent more than 45 years fishing the waters off Gloucester, Massachusetts, both recreationally and commercially. With over four decades holding a U.S. Coast Guard Master’s License, he brings a lifetime of experience, seamanship, and local knowledge to every trip.

Giant bluefin tuna is his true specialty. Captain John caught his first bluefin out of a 16-foot boat using a handline rigged with rope and nail kegs, battling the fish for three hours. That early experience sparked a lifelong pursuit of these powerful giants and helped shape the skills he brings to the water today.

From chasing giant bluefin tuna and battling sharks offshore to targeting cod, haddock, striped bass, and bluefish along the coast, Captain John offers trips for anglers of all skill levels.
