Captain Larry is proud to run Rockport/ Aransas Pass / Port Aransas fishing charters using artificial lures and soft plastics. To him, nothing beats the rush of catching Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and other Texas inshore species on artificial lures like topwater plugs and soft plastics.
Captain Larry will clean and fillet your catch but encourages anglers to release any Speckled Trout over 20" and any Redfish over 24". Larger fish sustain reproduction and Captain Larry is a strong conservationist.
Book a trip to explore miles of Texas inshore coastline from San Antonio Bay up north, to Baffin Bay down south. While always throwing artificial lures, Captain Larry is happy to guide your drift boat fishing or wade fishing experience. For wade fishing trips, please be sure to bring your own waders.
Captain Larry rightfully considers himself lucky to be a professional fishing guide in Texas and loves sharing his passion with others. He's a patient and educational fishing guide who's equally as carefree and easy going as he is passionate about spreading his love of fishing.

This may sound strange, but my goal in going out with Larry wasn’t really to catch fish. I’m moving to the area and wanted to learn tips and techniques for fishing these waters. I don’t think I could have picked a better guide. Larry knows his stuff! He’s very willing to share, and explains things in easy to understand ways. He didn’t focus on *what* we were doing, but *why* we were doing it. We did catch fish, but what I learned from Larry made me a better fisherman. Not only is he incredibly knowledgable, he’s also a super-nice guy. If you’re hesitant about booking with him, don’t be. He busts his tail to get you where you need to be, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks you Captain Larry! I will *definitely* be back. Can’t wait to learn more!

For my Sister and I this experience with Capt Bell was 5 star plus!! From the moment we met this gentleman we knew we were going to enjoy are selves. Immediately we felt as if we were going out with a friend who knew were the fish were. We could not have picked a better person to fish with. He is a patient and personable man who shares freely his knowledge and skill of angling Reds and trout. It became very clear that Larry loves what he does and the sharing of this with his clients. Honestly, he taught my sister and I several things about the fish themselves that interest and would help in the future. At this point I would say, if you had no experience and wanted to learn to angle fish, this is your man. Very honest and straight forward. ” I can take you to where the fish are but you’ll have to catch them.” He did and we did! Can’t say it enough, you will truly enjoy this man and the experience he will provide. Again, thank you so very much for the good time you afforded my sister and I. We are more than satisfied….you can’t go wrong with Capt Bell.

We decided to have a cousins fishing trip late July and Capt. Larry didn’t disappoint. We did a full day trip. He really knows the area and when the fish weren’t bitting, he’d quickly adjust and take us to another place. That day the trout were only around shells, so that’s where we stuck around most of the time. There was not much wind until later in the day, and that’s when the bitting picked up. I hadn’t caught a red in over 3 years so I was hoping this was the year. Thankfully the two fish hit in our last spot. 23 inch red, and 30 inch 10 1/4 bull (which was released for the next angler to catch ;) ). Fun experience all around, would do it again if I’m back in the area!
