For these Cast and Blast trips, Captain Brian offers a duck hunt in the morning followed up with fishing in the afternoon. You will more often than not take the airboat out in the morning to sneak back to one of Brians many well-maintained duck blinds that look over shallow back bays. You're morning will start early around 5:45-6:00am so you and Captain brian have enough time to get the decoys out, and set up in the blind before shooting light. You will hunt until around 10:00am and head back in for lunch. For the afternoon you will switch over to his bay boat to either float the bays and chase trout, redfish, and drum, or sneak around the back bays in his airboat sight fishing! You can expect to find almost every species of Diver ducks and Puddle ducks, also known as dabbling ducks in the Coastal Bend area. The puddle ducks we most commonly find are, Pintail, Gadwall, Widgeon, Shoveler, Blue Wing Teal, Green Wing Teal, Cinnamon Teal and Black Duck or also known as Mottled Duck. The Diving Duck or Divers we most commonly find here in South Texas are Bufflehead, Greater Scaup, Lessor Scaup, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, Canvas Back, and Goldeneye. We have such a large selection of Waterfowl. You can also easily find the Black Belly Whistling Tree Ducks. On occasion, you can also find a few Lessor Snow Geese and Speckle Belly Goose or White-fronted Goose . Brian will hunt ducks in Corpus Christi Bay, Nueces Bay, Aransas Bay, Redfish Bay, Copano Bay, and Port Bay. Most of his hunts are by airboat, hunting the shallow water back bays, in duck blinds or on mangrove islands. *Worried about bringing the kids?* If this is their first time to hunt, don’t hesitate. Captain Brian has raised four of his own, the youngest just barely able to write his own name; he understands the patience that is required to take them hunting. It is Captain Brian's philosophy that introducing our youth to the outdoors will ensure the future of our wildlife. It will also teach them the correct way to stay safe and be responsible hunters! We had a great time fishing, Jeff was a great guide.
Terry D. with Jeff H. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Great trip out with Captain Jeff. He was great with the kids and his top concern was the safety of his passengers. Once we shoved off he took us right to the fish! Caught a nice Red less than a minute after the bait hit the water, and the action continued on after that. I highly recommend Jeff!
Jason T. with Jeff H. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Jeff is very pleasant and easy to be with. He made a tough fishing day fun and tried hard to find the fish. No hesitation in giving him 5 stars and a good recommendation for a great experience.

Had a blast with Captain Jeremy. He put us on trout with the first cast and never let up finding the reds for us. He is a hundred percent in on finding the fish for you and knows the waters and methods for catching them. I would recommend his service for new comers and experienced anglers. We will definitely use him again.
Levi C. with Jeremy G. of Aransas Pass, Texas
This was an excellent trip. Thanks Jeff for being so attentive to all three of us. I write this review after consultation with my son and my grandson. We all collectively appreciate your over and above customer service. Three novice fishermen, one teenager, one middle aged father and one old fart grandfather and you were equally attentive to all three of us in our own language. I am particularly happy with the way you took my grandson under your arm. Correcting him when he needed correcting, teaching him when he needed teaching. It was a good trip. We will be back to see you. Mike James
Michael J. with Jeff H. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Me and my son had a great time fishing with Captain Jeff as our guide! He is very energetic and knowledgeable in what he does to help his clients catch fish. He has a quality that helps with teaching important fishing techniques without making the fisherman feel ignorant. We will definitely use the services of Captain Jeff in the future! Kenny Luse, Poolville Tx.
Kenny G. with Jeff H. of Aransas Pass, Texas
The boys had a good time, they mentioned it was right after a large tournament so it was a little slow on the fishing but they had a good time .
Gustavo V. with Randy S. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Captain Jeremy was awesome! Super friendly and very hospitable. Put us on the fish until we limited out!
Gary R. with Jeremy G. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Larry, was punctual, knowledgable and nice to spend a half day with fishing out of Aransas Pass. I'd recommend him.
Jack W. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas
We had a great trip. Were not able to get onto the the bill drum as hoped. But that seemed to be weather and water condition induced. But we did get to bring some fillets home as Josh was able to put us on some smaller drum and reds. Josh was on time and ready both days we fished. Very attentive to making sure our lines were baited and in the right spot. Very friendly. Quiet when we were quiet, but joined in on the banter when we were ribbing each other over a missed fish etc… We would fish with him again.
Jubal A. with Joshua K. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Capt. Larry is a true professional. He quickly developed realistic expectation and promptly delivered and then some. My two teenagers and I showed up never having done anything like this before. Capt. Larry explained that conditions were not ideal, but we should still catch a few. First thing took us to a proven spot, it took a little bit, but my 13-year-old daughter picked up a couple in the first 3-+- minutes. Larry knew immediately what was going on with the fish and put us all in position, we stayed pretty much in the same spot for the rest of the day and did very well. All we caught wee Redfish; we caught several in the 5.5#+ class. We had a great day. Or second day was a good day as well, each of us caught enough fish to feel like we knew what we were doing. Larry has a great way about him to make you feel comfortable and is very capable. We will come back again as long as we can fish with him. MT
Mark T. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas
This was one of the best things I ever booked. This was a surprise for my boyfriend and he had an awesome time. I came into this with very limited knowledge of fishing and left extremely confident in the fishing skills Larry had taught me. We each caught one fish, however that’s because we saw dolphins!!! I told Larry I really would like to see more dolphins and man he delivered!! Dolphins swam straight up to the boat it was amazing to see them in their natural habitat. Larry was very interested in what WE wanted to do and he was an amazing guide. I will for sure be bringing my father in law back to fish with Larry. 100% recommend!!!
Mattie P. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Everything went well and I had a lot of fun. Larry explained that the February freeze kinda depleted much of the population of fish and the Park Game & Wildlife had to get stricter on being able to keep the fish now. But I still had lots of fun.
Steve C. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas
So much fun. Josh looked for fish every time the bite seemed to go away! Definitely recommend! I caught my first 2 red fish!!
Michael W. with Joshua K. of Aransas Pass, Texas
First time doing a fishing trip. Captain Larry was very welcoming. He sent me reminders the day before the trip and called me to talk about how the trip would go, suggestions, and questions I had. He was very informational with showing me the basics of fishing and I learned to cast perfectly. Ended up catching a few fish!
Denny R. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas
Joshua was great! He worked hard to make our trip a fun experience. We didn’t catch a lot of fish, but we still had a great time on the water. Our highlight was when my mom caught a nice redfish that he filleted for us, and which we will enjoy eating I am sure! I would definitely book again!
