Captain Collin Gee of Gee Spot Fishing Charters has been fishing the waters of Port O’Connor for over 20 years, and has been a full-time resident of POC since 2008. He started guiding in 2012 after friends and family recognized his gift and passion for the outdoors.
Captain Collin is a licensed guide, and is also a licensed ship captain with a degree from Texas A&M in Marine Science. You can rest assured your inshore or offshore trip will be safe and professional, and Captain Collin will be sure to point out other marine species you come across while chasing Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and more.
Your Port O'Connor fishing charter with Captain Collin typically starts at sunrise. When fishing inshore for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder, Captain Collin covers the open bay, as well as the skinniest of back lakes in his 23’ Shoalwater Cat. If stalking redfish in the skinniest of waters is what you're after, Captain Collin also offers backwater Redfish trips from his 16’ GTO airboat.
If offshore fishing is more your speed, head out on Captain Collin's 27’ World Cat powered by twin Yamaha F200’s. You'll target Red Snapper, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, Sharks, and more.
Captain Collin regularly fishes West Matagorda Bay, Espiritu Santo Bay, and San Antonio Bay. All rods, reels, bait & terminal tackle are provided, as well as all fuel, ice, bottled water, fish cleaning and bagging, and a cooler for your drinks and snacks. Be sure to give us a call regarding Captain Collin's military/law enforcement discounts!

We went out with Capt Gee and he put us on them! Caught 80-90 fish between 4 people and had 15 keepers. Capt was always busy baiting hooks and putting us on honey holes. Would highly recommend and will be back!
It was a great day out on the water. Capt Gee did everything he could to get us on the fish and we all caught our limit! He was also very helpful in explaining basic and advanced techniques to everyone in the group depending on their experience level. Cant wait to do it again!
Our family had such an amazing time on our Port O’Connor bay fishing trip. Cpt. Collin Gee took us out and had us catching fish after fish in no time. Our boys age 9 and 13 had smiles on there faces the whole day. Cpt. Collin was super patient with them helping them to cast and set up the rigging. (My littles can be a handful as they are little balls of energy lol) Towards the end of our trip Cpt. Collins took us over to the beach so the boys could play in the surf a bit. It was a nice little bonus to our already fun day. We love to fish and my fiancé and I were very satisfied with our trip. In the end we went home with some delicious speckled trout (some of which we bought to Josie’s, a restaurant Capt. Collin recommended, where they cooked our catch for us that night for dinner) and memories that will last a life time.
