Prepare to test your casting accuracy as you fish in and around POC’s inshore and nearshore waters along with their reefs, flats, and backcountry waters. Captain John will help you chase Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Redfish, and many more fish species. These trips are also family-friendly - Captain John loves teaching little ones about the various fish species in the area.

Make sure you bring a valid Texas Saltwater Fishing License, food and drinks of your choice, sunscreen, and a hat. First Cast Guide Service will provide all rods, reels, tackle, and lures. They will also fillet your fish for you at the end of the trip at no additional cost.

About Your Guide

Captain John Ashley offers inshore fishing charters out of Port O'Connor and Seadrift, Texas, fishing the bays and backwaters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sharks, and Triple Tail.

Captain John's happy to wade fish or drift fish from the boat with artificial or live bait. He can accommodate all your fishing needs, whether fishing with family, friends, or corporate groups.

This coming Saturday going to see my friend Captain John. This will be our third consecutive year going with him. The man is totally amazing and takes u to the fish. Especially redfish!!

After paying the deposit, a QR Code will be emailed to you. On the day of the trip, your guide will scan your QR code to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is for a 10-20% customary tip.
