For a laid-back yet action-packed option, our half-day trips are a great way to enjoy Costa Rica’s renowned inshore fishery. These 4-hour trips depart in the morning or afternoon and begin right out of the new Marina in Playa Flamingo. Depending on the season and sea conditions, you’ll fish the nearby reefs and coastlines using trolling and bottom fishing techniques. Common target species include Roosterfish, Snapper, Grouper, Wahoo, Amberjack, and Jack Crevalle. It’s the perfect introduction to fishing Costa Rica’s Pacific coast and an excellent choice for families or first-time anglers.

If you want a bit more time on the water without committing to a full day, our 3/4 day trips give you six hours of prime fishing time. You'll start early and head toward productive offshore or nearshore grounds where trolling and bottom fishing come into play. The extended time lets you explore more remote fishing spots, with opportunities to catch species like Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, and Rainbow Runner. With the right conditions, this trip offers a great balance of big game excitement and coastal variety.

For those ready to go all out, our full-day offshore charter is the ultimate Costa Rican deep sea experience. You’ll venture farther into the blue waters off Guanacaste in search of legendary pelagic species. Depending on the time of year, you could find yourself battling Blue, Black, or Striped Marlin, hooking into schools of Yellowfin Tuna, or watching Sailfish explode on the surface. This full-throttle adventure uses a range of techniques including trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, and even spearfishing upon request. It’s your best shot at landing a true trophy fish—and an unbeatable day at sea.

While the fishing is front and center, your time aboard is also about comfort and enjoyment. The boat is fully equipped with amenities that make the experience even more enjoyable. Cruise the waters on our 47 Ft PostYatch sport fishing, powered by twin 550 horsepower MAN engines, in the boat you will find one bedroom and two full bathrooms, an spacious and comfy Cabin equiped with A/C. The boat can accommodate up to 20 people, 6 out of which can fish at the same time, so bring your friends and have some fun. The first mate joins in for larger parties, so you can be sure that you’re in good hands.

The captain will provide all the fishing equipment, and you’ll be fishing using frozen and live bait. Make sure to bring a fishing license. If you want to taste the fruits of your labor upon your return home, the captain will be happy to clean your catch. You can explore the underwater world by snorkeling since there’s always equipment on board for 20 people.

You’ll head out up to 20 miles offshore, targeting a variety of species. You can do some trolling for Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Roosterfish, Tuna, Sailfish, Marli, and Wahoo. If you’d like to do some bottom fishing, you can target Grouper, Snapper, and Amberjack.

Kids of all ages are welcome, so bring your family on a nice fishing expedition to make some amazing new memories. Life jackets will be provided for your safety, and the crew is CPR-trained, so you have nothing to worry about. You can just relax and enjoy the beautiful views while reeling in some monsters!

You’ll have drinks and a good lunch on board, also the possibility to cook onboard the catch of the day. All you really need is some sunscreen, and you’re all set.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
