We offer different duration trips from 4 hour half days to 3/4 (6 Hour) trips to even Full days(8hour) trips. The boat is a 37 foot Seahunter and it like a big boat. Size matters. She is powered by triple 300 horse power outboards to make your trip safe and fun. The is equiped with the latest Garmin marine electronics. Everything from Gps to Radar to 1000 watt fish finder. Sometimes electronics can save the day and it is a great advantage to have the best electronics out there. The vessel also has a tower for spotting fish. Sight fishing is a blast and a tower makes it so much better. We fish everything from reef fishing for bottom fish to Bluewater fishing for Sailfish, Mahi , to cobia and permit. Shallow water Tarpon and shark fishing is a blast too. Key West offers some of the best fishing opportunities in the world. There are over 300 world records caught in Key West. What is unique about the way I run my business is you learn how to fish. You can learn as much about fishing as you want to, Whether it is how to rig the rods or how to cast a live bait to a fish. Fishing is supposed to be fun and the more involved you get the more fun it is out on the water.

Captain Mike fished the original Jack Tar in tournaments from the Cape May White Marlin Open to the top Maryland and North Carolina tournaments. Captain Mike moved to Key West Florida in 1990 and became a full time Key West fishing guide.

Besides running charters in Key West, Captain Mike also fishes the top tournaments in the Key West fishing region including the Bahamas, Cuba, Mexico, and all of the Florida keys.

Captain Mike once owned the Jack Tar 2 sport fishing charter boat which is a 52' Buddy Cannady Custom Carolina. Now as a Key West fishing guide, Captain Mike specializes in Key West light tackle fishing with a 37' SeaHunter center console. Captain Mike has been fishing in Key West for over 20 years now and has become one of the foremost experts in local fish habits and tendencies making him one of the most requested Key West fishing guides.

Captain Mike fishes the Key West reefs, wrecks, offshore, and inshore waters including the Key West Harbor which is inshore. His qualifications in these areas are above reproach and for Key West fishing there aren't many as knowledgeable as Captain Mike.

But there is something else you should know about Captain Mike. Besides his fishing skills he is also just an all around great guy. He works well with the anglers and customers on his boat. Whether you are a seasoned Key West angler or a novice just enjoying a vacation in the Keys Captain Mike will take the time to help. You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
