About Your Trip

Climb aboard with Captain John for a full day of rod-bending action on the Chesapeake Bay! This summer trip is perfect for anglers looking to experience the incredible variety of fish that call these waters home—and with room for up to 19 people, it’s a great option for big families, bachelor parties, corporate outings, or just you and your fishing crew. (After six guests, there’s a small additional per-person charge, so bring the whole gang!)

This full-day adventure gives you the time and range to explore the most productive fishing grounds in the bay. With Captain John at the helm, you’ll target a stacked lineup of summertime favorites including Croaker, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Sand Shark, Blackfin Shark, Oyster Toad, and more. And even though it's summer, you may still hook into Fall Striper (Rockfish) depending on conditions and timing—Captain John always keeps an eye on where the bite is best.

You’ll fish aboard a comfortable and seaworthy 44’ Evans saltwater boat, powered by twin 225 HP Cummins engines. Outfitted with essential electronics, safety gear, a flybridge, and an onboard restroom, this vessel is built for long days on the water and can handle groups with ease.

With a lifetime of experience fishing the Chesapeake Bay, Captain John knows how to put you on fish—and show you a great time doing it. He’ll provide all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, and fishing licenses, so all you need to bring are your snacks, drinks, and some sun protection.

Whether you're dropping bait for bottom species, trolling for fast-moving pelagics, or battling something toothy near the surface, this trip has something for everyone—and Captain John’s patient, knowledgeable approach makes it perfect for all skill levels.

As Captain John likes to say: “Quit wishing – let’s go fishing!”
