About Your Trip

Hop aboard with Captain Scott for an unforgettable Beaufort River History Cruise—where every ripple tells a story, and every bend in the river reveals the rich soul of the Lowcountry. Whether you choose a quick 2-hour excursion or the more immersive 4-hour journey, this private sightseeing tour is your front-row seat to Beaufort’s vibrant past and living waterways.

Unlike large group tours, this is a fully private experience—just your party and Captain Scott aboard a
17’ Key Largo center console that’s as versatile as it is comfortable. This wide-bodied boat is built for adventure, gliding effortlessly through shallow tidal creeks at low tide or cutting across open water with ease. It’s perfectly suited for small groups of up to four passengers, depending on the conditions and route you choose.

With Captain Scott at the helm—a true Beaufort local who quite literally lives by the tides—you’re in for more than just a scenic cruise. You’ll hear stories that come straight from the source, rich with personal insight and historical depth that you won’t find in a guidebook. This cruise takes you along the iconic Old Point, where antebellum homes line the shore with timeless grace. As you make your way through Factory Creek, Downtown Beaufort, and Spanish Point, you’ll dive into the fascinating history of the town’s working waterfronts.

You'll pass by Fort Frederick, a pre-Revolutionary War tabby fort tucked into the river’s edge, and continue toward Port Royal’s active working waterfront—all while keeping an eye out for bottlenose dolphins and learning about the unique ecology of the salt marshes that cradle the coastline.

This is more than just a boat ride—it’s a personalized Lowcountry adventure, thoughtfully designed by someone whose passion for these waters runs as deep as the river itself. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking to experience Beaufort from a new perspective, Captain Scott’s river cruise is the perfect way to make memories that last a lifetime.

Just bring your sense of wonder—we’ll take care of the rest.
