About Your Trip

Kona’s deep blue waters don’t mess around—and neither does this offshore trip out of Honokohau Harbor. Whether you're a seasoned angler chasing pelagic species or just hoping for that first big bite, this six-hour trip puts you in the heart of one of the world’s most productive fisheries, all without needing to stray far from shore.

You'll head out aboard a 42’ Hatteras Sportfisher—purpose-built for offshore fishing but with a few unexpected touches that make
the ride a whole lot more comfortable. Twin Caterpillar engines provide the power, while inside, you’ll find a full galley, clean restroom, and even a shower. Amenities include a smoke-free environment, and honestly, you might forget you’re on a “fishing machine” at all—the interior is surprisingly clean, comfortable, and elegant.

Out on the water, you’ll be targeting heavy-hitters like Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and maybe even a Blue or Striped Marlin. Spearfish and Skipjack are also in the mix depending on the day. The crew will set you up with all the gear and tackle, and trolling is the primary technique to draw the bite—no need to overcomplicate it when the fish out here speak for themselves.

Water is provided, and you're welcome to bring along your own snacks, drinks, and sunscreen. Whether you’re here to test your skills or just want to see what Kona’s offshore scene is all about, this trip strikes that perfect balance between rugged and refined.

Captain Charles, the owner and operator in this beautiful paradise of Kona, Hawaii, invites you and your family to join him for a spectacular day of big game fishing for our fabled Blue Marlin, Ono, Ahi and Spearfish.

He has been fishing for over 40 years in California, Mexico, Cabo San Lucas, Texas and Hawaii. As a Chief Fire Officer and Captain of a beautiful, pristine world class 43′ Hatteras Convertible, he has a passion for fishing and being on
the ocean.

In 2013 he and his crew boated a 1058 lb. giant blue marlin and became a member of the World Grander Club, celebrating the catching of a marlin weighing over 1000 lbs.

Due to some temporary health issues, Charles may or not be on board on any given day. There will always be a credentialed Captain and Crew on the boat who is familiar with Kona local waters and experienced fisherman who he has personally selected to represent him.
