About Your Trip

Set your alarm early and lace up your boots—this isn’t your average day at sea. Departing from Richmond’s Melville Square, this 10-hour adventure takes you deep into the cold, rugged waters of the Pacific Ocean where NorCal’s hard-fighting rockfish and savory Dungeness crab await. With towering cliffs in the distance and salt in the air, you’ll bottom fish over reefs and rocky ledges for feisty Lingcod and Rockfish, then pull crab pots packed with the freshest catch you’ve ever laid eyes on. This trip isn’t just a day on the water—it’s a full-on coastal harvest mission.

You’ll be fishing from a tough-as-nails 24’ Raider cuddy cabin boat, built for performance in open water and equipped with a 300 HP Suzuki outboard to get you to the bite fast. With GPS, fishfinder, radar, and a live bait well, you’re fully kitted to lock in on the action. There’s no fancy white tablecloth service here—just hardcore fishing, good tunes via Bluetooth, and a cooler ready to chill your haul.

All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided, and the crew will handle fish and crab cleaning so you leave with ready-to-cook filets and claws. Just bring layers (the Pacific doesn’t mess around), sunscreen, and maybe a six-pack to toast your haul on the ride back in.

Whether you're an experienced angler or trying this for the first time, this trip hits the sweet spot between adrenaline-pumping action and salty, sea-sprayed simplicity. Crabbing and rockfishing is more than a bucket list check—it’s a California tradition, and you’re invited.

My goal is to put you on fish. Nobody on the boat wants fish more than I do. We apply everything we know and hope the fish cooperate. I want to share this passion with everyone. I believe everyone needs these adventures if just to get a break from normal society life. I really enjoy experiencing the excitement of someone else reeling in fish.
