Whether you’re stalking wild Rainbow and Brown Trout in high-country freestone creeks, or working the riffles and pools of classic Southern Appalachian tailwaters, Connor’s team knows exactly where to take you for the best shot at fish. With decades of local knowledge under their wading belts, they’ll match your skill level, preferences, and the day’s conditions to craft a trip that’s personal, productive, and unforgettable.

Trips are available in half-day, 3/4-day, and full-day options, and include everything you need for a successful outing—premium rods and reels, flies, boots, waders, and all terminal tackle. These trips are a great fit for both first-time anglers and seasoned fly fishers looking to fine-tune technique, discover new water, or just soak in the serenity of a mountain stream.

If you’re booking a full-day trip, you’ll also have the option to enjoy a hot riverside lunch for just $20 per person. Choose between a freshly cooked crabcake or tuna steak, served with homemade slaw, chips, dessert, and a cold drink—one of the many perks that sets these trips apart. Feel free to BYOB—your guide will have cooler space ready.

You’ll want to bring a few key items to stay comfortable throughout the day: polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a sun hat, rain gear, and layered clothing suitable for mountain weather. A valid fishing license is required and can easily be picked up the morning of your trip if needed.

Connor’s walk-and-wade trips are a great way to learn the fundamentals of fly fishing or elevate your skills in real-world conditions. Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Connor will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
