Spend a morning or afternoon exploring Lake Texoma with Captain Steve, a local expert who’s spent decades chasing down Stripers and sharing the experience with anglers of all ages. These half-day trips (4–6 hours) are a perfect way to get out on the water, enjoy the scenery, and target some of the lake’s most popular sportfish—without needing a full-day commitment.

Fishing aboard Captain Steve’s 24’ bay boat, you’ll have plenty of space for up to 6 passengers. The boat is fully equipped with everything you need for a productive day on the lake, including GPS, fishfinder, Garmin LiveScope, a 50-gallon bait tank, and a wireless trolling motor. It’s stable, clean, and ready to go when you arrive—complete with fresh-caught live Threadfin or Gizzard Shad, caught by the captain before your trip begins.

The main target on these trips is Striped Bass, known for their hard fights and great table fare. Depending on the season and lake conditions, you may also hook into White Bass or Smallmouth Bass. Techniques include light tackle, Carolina rig bottom fishing, jigging with slabs or spoons, popping with topwater plugs, and drifting, all adjusted based on what’s working that day. Rods are 7’ medium-heavy setups, either baitcasting or spinning—Captain Steve provides all the gear.

At the end of the trip, your catch will be cleaned and bagged at the dock—fish cleaning is included in the trip price, so you’ll head home with fresh fillets, ready for the skillet.

All tackle, bait, and lures are provided. Just bring a valid Lake Texoma fishing license, sun protection (non-spray sunscreen recommended), snacks, drinks, and anything else you need to stay comfortable. Kids are welcome, and if you need child-sized life jackets, be sure to ask ahead—or bring your own to ensure the best fit.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
