About Your Trip

Head out for an unforgettable day chasing Striped Bass on legendary Lake Texoma with Captain Dirk!

From Early Fall to Late Winter, these waters come alive with gamefish—and you’ll be right in the middle of the action. Whether you're hunting down Striped Bass, Sand Bass, Smallmouth, or big old’ Catfish, Lake Texoma is full of surprises, and you never know what it might throw your way. This trip offers a mix of techniques to keep
things exciting: expect to troll, bottom fish, and even drift or jig depending on the bite. With light or heavy tackle in hand, you’ll be covered no matter what’s hitting that day.

Captain Dirk runs these trips aboard his well-rigged 24’ Blazer Bay—ideal for groups up to 5. Outfitted with top-tier gear like GPS, fish finder, a 45-gallon live bait tank, wireless trolling motor, and downriggers, it’s designed to help you locate fish and stay on them. Live bait is standard on all trips, and if you give 24 hours’ notice, it’ll be prepped and ready at the dock. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are all included—and at the end of your adventure, Captain Dirk will even clean and bag your catch, pulling the red meat so it’s ready to go straight from your freezer to the frying pan.

Thinking of bringing the kids along? Captain Dirk is all about family fun. He welcomes anglers of all ages and has kid-sized life vests available if needed. Bring along some snacks and drinks to keep everyone fueled up and happy out on the water. And don’t forget the basics: sunscreen (non-spray only, please), sunglasses, and good rain gear—especially on cooler mornings or if the weather turns. Dressing in layers is a smart move when the temperatures dip.

Before hopping aboard, be sure everyone in your group secures a Lake Texoma fishing license—available online or with guidance from the Captain. Some species might be seasonal or require tags, so it’s always best to check in before your trip.

Whether you're a seasoned angler or just looking to get the family outdoors for a day of hands-on fun, this trip is an all-around crowd-pleaser. From topwater blowups to trolling strikes, Captain Dirk’s Lake Texoma adventure is the real deal—and a surefire way to make lasting memories on the water.

You will need to bring a Lake Texoma Fishing License, snacks and drinks and the proper weather gear. Lodging can be provided with advance notice at extra charge. We have our own specially designed Jig heads for Lake Texoma Dead Sticking, we have perfected these jigs over many years of fishing on the lake. We have also perfected many different techniques to catch Striped Bass in Lake Texoma.
