He left our other family in the 2nd boat (they had a blast with their captain) tried to just take us shark fishing right off the bat which was not what we had asked, same deal as last year. He baited hooks and did what most captains do. Minus getting us on some fish. Can’t make em jump in the boat though. Giving 4 stars overall cause our other boat had a blast. I’d give them a 5. Ours a 2.5. 2 different trips but was supposed to be the same one.

Trip should have been canceled by the Captain because water was way too choppy for first timers. Bad experience. Water was so choppy we couldn't even stand up to fish. 2 of our party got sick even with the motion sickness patches on. 1 person was so sick because of the choppy water that 2 hrs into our trip we had to end it because of their sickness because of the bad weather. All the bait Fishing we caught ended up going to the next charter. If the captain cancels we get our deposit back. If we cancel we loose our deposit. We not only paid 800$ for the trip but ended up tipping the Captain Doug 150$ because he tried hard to keep us baited up for what little time we were out. We did end up catching 3 fish that we ended up keeping.
Please before you go out; know what you are getting into before leaving. I should have canceled and just lost the deposit as to go thru hell getting out there only to have to cut our trip 4 hrs short because of the bad weather we were in.

Response from Captain Experiences:
Hey David, this is Trey with Captain Experiences. I’m really sorry to hear the conditions felt rough out there. I’m glad you were still able to get on some fish and that Captain John worked hard to keep lines in the water throughout the trip. It does sound like the conditions were still fishable, but I completely understand how a rough day on the water can impact the experience. I’m glad we were able to...

I’m glad we were able to
connect behind the scenes and make things right, and I really hope your next trip is a much smoother one!
