About Your Trip

If you’re ready to chase one of freshwater’s most legendary predators, Captain Travis is here to put you on the hunt. These trips focus on musky, often called “The Fish of 10,000 Casts,” and are designed for anglers who want an exciting, hands-on day on the water. Whether you’re brand new to musky fishing or already hooked on the pursuit, Travis will walk you through the techniques, equipment, and strategy needed to give you the best shot at landing one.

Trips run from June through December 15th and offer a few different options depending on how you want to fish and how long you want to stay on the water.

The 4-hour trip is a great introduction to musky fishing and focuses on trolling with heavy-duty gear and large lures. Trolling is a very productive way to cover water and locate active fish, making it perfect for beginners, families, and anglers of all experience levels looking for steady action.

The 6-hour trip gives you the choice between trolling or casting. Trolling uses the same aggressive approach with heavy equipment to cover water and trigger strikes, with space for up to three anglers. If you prefer casting, this is Travis’s favorite method and a true musky experience. You’ll work big lures through prime habitat while learning proper techniques, retrieves, and figure-eight methods right alongside the captain. Casting trips are limited to two anglers for a more focused experience.

The 10–12 hour “hardcore” trip is designed for dedicated musky anglers who want to put in the time chasing a true giant. The day focuses primarily on casting big baits with occasional trolling mixed in to cover additional water. It’s a long but rewarding pursuit that requires patience, endurance, and the right technique, making it best suited for anglers with some experience who are ready for a full day on the hunt.

All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided. Just bring snacks, drinks, and weather-appropriate clothing and get ready for a serious shot at one of the most sought-after freshwater fish out there. Prices are per charter, not per person.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
