Join Captain Bryce on Lake Michigan for a day targeting one of the lake’s best table fare species—jumbo Yellow Perch. Known for their excellent flavor and fun bite, Lake Michigan perch are a favorite among anglers looking to bring home fresh fish for the table.

During this trip, you’ll primarily be jigging perch rigs along the bottom, a simple and effective technique that often results in quick bites. When the school is active, it’s not uncommon to hook two perch at once, so be ready when you feel that tap. To keep the experience comfortable and hands-on, perch trips are limited to 4 anglers.

You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Bryce’s 31’ Sea Ray Amberjack sportfishing vessel, a spacious and well-equipped boat that comfortably accommodates up to 6 passengers. The boat features all the essentials needed for a productive day on the water, including GPS, fishfinder, radar, downriggers, and an ice box for your catch. For added comfort, the vessel also includes a private restroom, bed, kitchen area, and refrigerator.

Your trip includes rods, reels, and tackle, as well as the help of a first mate to assist throughout the day. At the end of the trip, fish cleaning and filleting are included, so your perch will be ready to take home. Be sure to bring a cooler in your vehicle to transport your catch.

These trips are family-friendly, and kids are welcome aboard. Children must wear life vests, so it’s best to confirm ahead of time whether the appropriate sizes are available onboard. Bringing along snacks for the day is always a good idea.

Before the trip, anglers will need to purchase a valid Michigan fishing license, which can typically be obtained online. Be sure to review current regulations, as certain species may have seasonal rules or size limits.

For a comfortable day on the water, bring sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. Additional drinks are welcome—alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles while onboard.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
