About Your Trip

Typical half-day trips run between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. dock to dock. If conditions are ideal, we could end up running 30 miles dock to dock. We will venture out up to 10 miles off the coast of Anclote Key if conditions allow. Most trips will not include a mate unless specific arrangements are made beforehand.

The boat is very comfortable in most sea conditions, and you won't get beaten up or thrown around. The gunwales are high and safe for children. There is forward seating and bolster cushions in the stern. The console has a porta-potty-style toilet and a working sink to wash up. The GPS trolling motor makes anchoring a breeze.

At the guest's request, we can stop for dolphins or view other sea life. Bottles of cold water and ice will be provided in the cooler of every trip.

Talk to the captain about the type of trip and what species are being targeted throughout the season. I can usually change the trip type or pivot as long as I have communication.

Our trips are different than your typical inshore charter as we fish in deeper water, targeting reef fish we can keep for table fare. Most of the time, we are using frozen baits, but live bait can be arranged depending on the season. Most of the tackle is spinning reels and light conventional reels on bottom fishing tackle rigs.

I am Captain Luke and I am a true Florida-born native. I was born right here in north Pinellas county and raised on the waters of Tarpon Springs, Florida. My experience matters most, I have 675+ logged trips and 17+ years guiding in the Tampa Bay area.

I specialize in nearshore reef fishing, shallow water spearfishing and scallop snorkeling day trips. I mainly fish out of a custom built 26' Sailfish center console based off of the classic Seacraft design. It is equipped with twin Yamaha outboards and the latest SIMRAD electronics. This vessel drafts 20 inches of water and has a variable step deadrise for a comfortable ride to the fishing grounds. Twin 30 gallon baitwells house enough bait for a full day of action packed fishing. I also have a Carolina Skiff for flats fishing and sandbar trips inside of Tampa Bay.

On my days off I enjoy scouting out new fishing spots, spearfishing while freediving and making upgrades to my boat. I also enjoy creating digital artwork and playing guitar.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, non-spray sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
