Captain Juan and his first mate provide a welcoming and professional experience for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman chasing trophy pelagics or a beginner looking to experience Costa Rica’s rich fishery for the first time, the crew is ready to help you make the most of your day on the water.

Trips are available in half-day, 3/4-day, and full-day options, allowing you to explore different fishing grounds depending on how much time you'd like to spend offshore.

Half-day trips focus on the productive inshore waters around Playa Garza, where anglers commonly target species like Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Mahi Mahi, and Little Tunny. Using light tackle and techniques such as trolling, jigging, popping, spinning, and bottom fishing, these trips offer exciting action close to shore.

The 3/4-day trip gives you additional time to venture farther offshore in search of larger game fish. Depending on conditions, you may target Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, and Little Tunny, using a mix of trolling and other offshore techniques.

For anglers looking for the full experience, the full-day trip opens the door to Costa Rica’s legendary offshore fishery. These extended outings give you the chance to pursue Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi, along with powerful reef species like Cubera Snapper and Grouper. With more time on the water, the crew can explore multiple fishing grounds to find the best action of the day.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ Robalo center console, fully restored in 2019 and powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine. The boat comfortably accommodates up to four anglers fishing at once and is equipped with quality gear including Penn and Shimano Tiagra tackle, outriggers, tuna tubes, GPS, fishfinder, live bait well, and coolers.

The crew provides rods, reels, tackle, live bait (often caught during the trip), and lures, ensuring you have everything needed for a productive day. After the trip, Captain Juan and his mate will clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready to enjoy. Snacks such as sandwiches and fruit, along with beer, water, and sodas, are included, and lunch is provided on full-day trips.

For anglers looking to mix things up, snorkeling equipment can also be arranged upon request, and experienced fly anglers are welcome to bring their own fly fishing gear.

These trips are family-friendly, and children 5 years and older are welcome aboard with life jackets provided. Guests should bring a valid fishing license, sunscreen, and sun-protective clothing for a comfortable day on the water.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
