Spend a day fishing Costa Rica’s world-famous Pacific coast on a trip built around action, variety, and time on the water. These charters are designed for anglers of all experience levels, whether you’re chasing your first offshore fish or looking to check a trophy species off your list.

You’ll have the option of 6-hour or full-day (8-hour) trips, both offering access to productive inshore and offshore waters. Depending on conditions and your goals, you could be targeting a wide range of species including Sailfish, Marlin (Blue, Black, and Striped), Mahi-Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, Wahoo, Snapper, and Rainbow Runner. The crew adjusts locations and techniques throughout the trip to keep you on the best available bite.

Fishing techniques vary based on the day and target species, but can include trolling, jigging, popping, spinning, and bottom fishing, using both light and heavy tackle setups. Whether you’re working topwater lures offshore or fishing structure closer to shore, the goal is to keep things engaging and productive from start to finish.

You’ll be fishing aboard a fully equipped sportfishing vessel designed for both performance and comfort. The boat features an air-conditioned cabin, flybridge, full kitchen, private restroom, and plenty of fishing space, along with top-tier electronics and gear to keep you on fish throughout the day.

Everything you need is included—rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses—along with snacks, drinks (water, soda, coffee, and beer), and lunch on all fishing trips. A first mate is onboard to assist throughout the day, and breakfast can be arranged upon request.

With a balance of serious fishing and a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere, this is a well-rounded experience that lets you enjoy both the fishing and the setting along Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Gerardo will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
