Spend a day chasing two of the Texas coast's most popular inshore gamefish with Captain Drew out of Matagorda. Whether you prefer wading shallow grass flats or drifting productive bay systems, this trip is built around putting you in position to target quality Speckled Trout and Redfish throughout the year.

Captain Drew specializes in the waters surrounding Matagorda and tailors each trip to current conditions, tides, and fish activity. Depending on the season, you'll spend the day wading prime shorelines, drifting expansive flats, or mixing both approaches to maximize your opportunities.

Anglers of all experience levels are welcome aboard. Whether you're looking to learn the fundamentals of coastal fishing or refine your artificial lure techniques, Captain Drew is happy to share his knowledge of the fishery. Live bait is included with your trip, and anglers who want to fish with croakers can arrange them for an additional cost when available.

You'll fish from a 23' Shallow Sport, a legendary Texas flats boat known for its ability to access skinny water while still providing a smooth, comfortable ride across the bay. The boat offers plenty of room for anglers and is perfectly suited for targeting trout and redfish in Matagorda's shallow-water environment.

All rods, reels, tackle, and standard live bait are provided. Just bring your fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, drinks, and get ready to experience some of the best inshore fishing the Texas coast has to offer.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
