The Farallon Islands Lingcod & Rockfish Expedition is one of the most memorable offshore fishing adventures available on the West Coast. Weather and ocean conditions permitting, you'll depart San Francisco and make the run to the legendary Farallon Islands, a remote chain of rugged islands located nearly 30 miles offshore. The journey takes approximately two hours each way and offers incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge, California's dramatic coastline, and an abundance of marine wildlife along the way.

The waters surrounding the Farallons are known for their rugged underwater structure, deep reefs, and healthy fish populations. These rarely fished areas provide excellent opportunities to target quality Rockfish and trophy-sized Lingcod, with some truly impressive fish caught throughout the season. Using a combination of heavy tackle, jigging, drifting, and bottom fishing techniques, you'll work productive offshore structure where these hard-fighting species thrive.

Limited to just four anglers, this trip provides plenty of room to fish comfortably and allows Captain Molly and her crew to give each guest personalized attention throughout the day. While the destination itself is a major draw, the experience extends far beyond the fishing. The Farallon Islands are home to diverse marine life, seabird colonies, and spectacular ocean scenery that make the trip worthwhile even before the first fish hits the deck.

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, snacks, water, and Gatorade are included. Fish cleaning and filleting are also provided at the end of the trip, making it easy to take your catch home. Just bring a valid California fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, lunch, and a sense of adventure. If conditions cooperate, this is the kind of offshore trip you'll be talking about long after you return to the dock.

Whether she's helping a first-time angler catch their very first fish or guiding experienced fishermen to productive spots around the Bay, her focus is always on creating a fun, comfortable, and memorable experience.

Fishing aboard her 28' Shamrock pilothouse means enjoying one of the most comfortable rides on the Bay. The boat features a heated and air-conditioned cabin, private marine restroom, modern electronics, and all the safety equipment needed for a worry-free day on the water. Families, children, and groups of friends are especially welcome, and Molly takes pride in tailoring each trip to the people on board.

Every charter includes quality rods, reels, tackle, bait, snacks, drinks, and fish cleaning. Alongside her experienced crew, Captain Molly works hard to make every trip enjoyable, whether you're chasing salmon offshore, hunting trophy lingcod around the Farallons, or simply spending a relaxing day fishing the beautiful waters of San Francisco Bay.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
