About Your Trip

If you're ready to chase big fish and experience the excitement of Florida's Atlantic bluewater fishery, Captain Tyler's offshore trips deliver the kind of adventure serious anglers dream about. With options ranging from 8 to 12 hours, you'll have the opportunity to fish productive reefs, wrecks, ledges, and offshore bluewater where some of the East Coast's most sought-after species roam.

Growing up fishing the offshore waters of North Carolina before spending seven years serving aboard
a U.S. Navy submarine, Captain Tyler developed a passion for offshore fishing that's evident on every trip. His specialties in trolling and slow pitch jigging allow anglers to experience multiple techniques while targeting whatever species are feeding best that day.

Depending on your trip length and seasonal conditions, you may run anywhere from nearby offshore reefs to productive grounds 50-80 miles offshore. Along the way you'll target an impressive lineup that can include Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Red Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Amberjack, Cobia, and more.

Each trip is customized around current fishing conditions. You may spend part of the day trolling offshore for pelagic predators before switching over to bottom fishing reefs and wrecks loaded with snapper, grouper, and triggerfish. Slow pitch jigging, popping, drifting, and even kite fishing may also come into play depending on the season and target species.

Your trip takes place aboard a 37' center console powered by triple 300 HP Yamaha engines capable of getting you to the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably. The vessel features premium electronics, outriggers, tuna tubes, live bait systems, radar, GPS, and a full electric marine toilet for comfort during longer days offshore.

Everything you need is provided, including quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, fishing licenses, bottled water, and live bait when available. At the end of the day, Captain Tyler and his crew will clean and fillet your catch, although larger catches can take additional time due to the amount of fish being processed.

Whether you're filling the freezer with delicious reef fish or chasing trophy pelagics across the Atlantic, these offshore adventures offer an unforgettable day with one of St. Augustine's most dedicated bluewater captains.
