About Your Trip

A typical ice fishing trip with us in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota provides a fully outfitted, high-tech adventure led by experienced guide, Dustin Monson. Trips are tailored for up to 5 anglers of all skill levels and are available in 4-hour or 8-hour sessions.

Chronological Trip Experience

Morning Meetup: The day begins at 8:00 AM at a pre-arranged landing or access point on the target lake.

Ice Transit: Guests ride securely out across the ice via ATV transportation to reach the morning's hot spots.

Base Camp Setup: Anglers fish inside spacious, heated Otter shelters to stay warm and completely out of the winter elements.

Electronic Targeting: The guide sets up advanced Garmin LiveScope and Vexilar flasher electronics so you can see fish responding to your bait in real time.

Active Angling: You spend the day jigging with premium Tuned Up Custom Rods and Daiwa reels, or monitoring tip-ups for larger predators.

Mid-Day Moves: If the bite slows, the guide utilizes mobile tactics, moving shelters and drilling new holes to stay on top of active schools.

Catch Processing: At the end of the trip, the guide provides fish cleaning and filleting services (available for a $50 fee during ice season).

What is Included: Heated Otter Outdoors portable ice shelters, ATV transport on the ice, Premium Tuned Up Custom rods and Daiwa reels, Live bait, lures, tip-ups, Garmin LiveScope and Vexilar fish finders, and expert instruction on winter jigging techniques.

Everything Else to Know

Everything is included except a valid MN Fishing License, food/drink and winter clothing/boots. We recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, snacks/beverages and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
