Take on one of the biggest and most powerful freshwater fish around with a guided Lake Sturgeon trip in the Lake of the Woods region! Offered during the spring and fall sturgeon seasons, these trips give anglers the opportunity to battle fish capable of putting even heavy tackle to the test.

Choose between a 6- or 8-hour trip, giving your group plenty of time to settle in and work productive sturgeon water. Your guide will handle the equipment and help anglers throughout the process, making the trip approachable for newcomers while still offering the chance at an exciting fight for experienced fishermen.

You'll head out aboard a Ranger 621, a spacious and capable fishing boat well suited for a group of up to four anglers. With flexible scheduling and launch options throughout the Lake of the Woods area, trip details can be adjusted based on conditions and where your guide believes you'll have the best opportunity that day.

Rods, reels, tackle, and fish cleaning are included. Bring appropriate clothing for the conditions, any food or drinks you'd like for the day, and be ready to see what might be waiting below!

You can keep sturgeon from April 24th-May 7th, after that it is catch and release until the 15th may- closed from july 1 - July 1st -sept 30th you can keep a sturgoen and then back to catch and release for the rest of the year

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
