Your day begins with 8 hours of guided bass fishing with Capt’n Coop, targeting Lake Guntersville largemouth bass using proven seasonal patterns, current lake conditions, and techniques designed to put you around quality fish. Whether the bass are relating to grass, structure, shallow cover, or offshore areas, your trip will be adjusted throughout the day based on what the fish are doing.

With a full eight hours of guided fishing, you'll have plenty of time to explore multiple areas, work through different patterns, learn new techniques, and take advantage of changing conditions throughout the day. Capt’n Coop handles the boat, positioning, location selection, and fishing strategy so you can concentrate on what matters most — catching bass and enjoying your time on the water.

But the Premium Full Day doesn't stop when the fishing does.

After your 8 hours of guided fishing, Capt’n Coop will take you to a lakeside restaurant for lunch, giving you a chance to relax, enjoy the scenery, and experience Lake Guntersville from another perspective. Lunch is provided by Capt’n Coop.

I'm Capt'n Coop, a licensed fishing guide and professional tournament angler whose life has been dedicated to one thing—chasing giant bass. What started as a passion has become a lifelong pursuit, taking me across the country competing at many levels of competitive bass fishing.

Throughout my tournament career, I've earned wins and top finishes on some of America's most challenging fisheries. That experience has taught me far more than how to catch fish—it has given me an understanding of seasonal bass behavior, advanced electronics, and the strategies needed to consistently locate and catch trophy bass under changing conditions.

Today, I bring that same tournament-level knowledge and commitment to every trip through the guide service. Whether you're looking to learn a new technique, become more confident with your electronics, prepare for tournament competition, or simply catch the bass of a lifetime, my goal is to provide an unforgettable experience on the water.

From first-time anglers to seasoned competitors, every client receives the same dedication, professionalism, and personalized instruction that have defined my career. I am a firm believer in catch-and-release fishing. Every bass that comes over the side of the boat goes back in the water — healthy and ready to be caught again. I want Lake Guntersville to remain one of the premier bass fisheries in the country for generations to come.

When I'm not on the water, I'm a family man through and through. I live in Guntersville with my wife and you'll often find me at local fishing tournaments, community events, or just hanging out at Cast and Trail Outfitters in Guntersville talking bass fishing with anyone who'll listen.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
