About Your Trip

Explore some of Western New York's best freshwater fishing with Captain Bill on this 6-hour adventure! With the flexibility to fish Lake Erie, the Finger Lakes, Lake Ontario, and other productive waters depending on your target species and current conditions, this trip gives Captain Bill plenty of options for putting you on fish.

Walleye are a major target, but depending on where you're fishing and the time of year, you can also chase Yellow Perch,
Crappie, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, and other freshwater favorites. Trout and Salmon trips may also be available when conditions line up. Captain Bill will tailor the approach to the fish, utilizing techniques including trolling, spinning, jigging, drift fishing, light tackle, and bottom fishing.

You'll head out aboard a 22' Campion walkaround built for up to 3 guests. The boat is powered by a 200HP Suzuki and equipped with Raymarine GPS, fishfinder and radar, along with downriggers, a wireless trolling motor, live bait well, ice box, and a porta potty in the cabin.

All rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait are included. Captain Bill can also clean and fillet your catch after the trip, with the exception of panfish.

Whether you're hoping to fill the cooler with Walleye or simply experience the variety of fishing Western New York has to offer, Captain Bill will use his years on these waters to build the day around your group and the current bite.

Make sure everyone in your group has the appropriate New York fishing license, and bring bottled water, snacks, sunglasses, a hat, and non-spray sunscreen.

Independent Guide
Captain Bill has been hooked on fishing since he was a kid, when catching his first Bluegill sparked a lifelong passion for being on the water. Since then, he's logged countless hours fishing the diverse waters of Western New York, building experience that stretches from panfish and Walleye to hard-fighting Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout.

Today, Captain Bill enjoys sharing that experience with anglers of every skill level. He especially welcomes kids and families and knows that sometimes the most
memorable fish isn't necessarily the biggest one. Whether you're watching a youngster catch their first Bluegill, jigging for Walleye, battling a Smallmouth Bass, or grabbing the rod when a Lake Ontario Salmon hits the trolling spread, Captain Bill wants everyone aboard to enjoy the experience.

Depending on your trip and target species, Captain Bill fishes Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes, and other productive Western New York waters. His wide-ranging local experience allows him to adjust locations and techniques based on the season, conditions, and what your group hopes to catch.

From panfish to Salmon, Captain Bill still loves the same thing that got him started: seeing that bobber disappear or feeling the unmistakable tug of a fish on the other end of the line. He looks forward to sharing that excitement with you on your next Western New York fishing adventure!
