About Your Trip

Skip some of the weekend boat traffic and spend a weekday chasing Lake Erie's famous Walleye with Captain Quinn!

This 7-hour trip runs Monday through Thursday and gives you a full day to explore the waters around Port Clinton. Walleye are the main attraction, with Yellow Perch providing another great target when the seasonal bite heats up.

Captain Quinn is happy to tailor the fishing style to your group. You can troll to cover water and hunt down active fish or spend the day casting and drifting if you'd rather keep a rod in your hands. Along the way, he's happy to share what he knows about Walleye fishing and the Lake Erie fishery.

You'll fish aboard Captain Quinn's 27' Penn Yan cruiser, which accommodates up to 6 guests and features GPS, fishfinder, an ice box, and an enclosed toilet. Rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait are provided, so just bring your food and drinks for the day.

The atmosphere aboard is laid-back and all about having a good time. Expect some music, plenty of laughs, and a full day of Lake Erie fishing with Captain Quinn!

If you've got some flexibility in your schedule, take advantage of a quieter weekday and come chase some Lake Erie Walleye!

Captain Quinn runs his trips out of Port Clinton, Ohio, sharing his knowledge of Lake Erie and its incredible Walleye and Yellow Perch fisheries with anglers of all experience levels.

For Captain Quinn, a great charter isn't only about putting fish in the boat. He wants his guests to enjoy the entire experience. His trips have a laid-back atmosphere where you can expect some music, plenty of laughs, and a captain who genuinely enjoys getting to know the people fishing with him.

Of course, catching fish is still a pretty important part of the equation! Captain Quinn knows the waters around Port Clinton and will adjust his approach based on the conditions and current bite. He's comfortable trolling to cover water for Walleye or switching things up and casting and drifting when guests want a more hands-on experience.

He's also happy to share what he knows along the way. Whether you're brand new to Walleye fishing or already have plenty of time on the water, Captain Quinn can help you learn more about the fish, the techniques, and Lake Erie itself.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
