Come experience why Lake Erie has earned its reputation as the Walleye Capital of the World with Captain Kevin!

On this 6-hour trip, you'll head onto Lake Erie in search of its famous Walleye, with Captain Kevin putting more than 25 years of tournament Walleye experience to work for your group. Depending on the time of year, conditions, and where the bite has been best, Captain Kevin can launch anywhere from Huron to Geneva-on-the-Lake, giving him the flexibility to stay with the fish as they move throughout the season.

Trolling and jigging are the primary techniques you'll use to get after them. Captain Kevin is happy to make the trip as hands-on and educational as you'd like, sharing the techniques, tips, and knowledge he's developed through decades of fishing Lake Erie and competing in Walleye tournaments.

Choose between a morning or afternoon departure, with up to 6 hours to fish or until your group reaches its legal limit. Walleye will be the primary target, while Yellow Perch can also come into play on afternoon trips when conditions and the seasonal bite line up.

You'll fish aboard Captain Kevin's 21' Skeeter, equipped with GPS, fishfinder, radar, a live bait well, and wireless trolling motor. All the rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait needed for your trip are provided, so you can show up ready to fish.

Kids are absolutely welcome aboard! Some of Captain Kevin's favorite memories are of fishing with his own family, and he loves the opportunity to help younger anglers get hooked on a hobby they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Whether you're introducing the family to Lake Erie, chasing your first Walleye, or an experienced angler looking to pick up some tournament-tested techniques, Captain Kevin is ready to build a laid-back and informative day around your group!

Captain Kevin has been fishing for nearly his entire life, turning a childhood passion into decades of experience on the waters of Lake Erie and beyond.

For 25 years, Captain Kevin has competed as a tournament Walleye angler, sharpening his skills on both Lake Erie and inland lakes. His competitive experience has taught him how to follow changing conditions, locate fish throughout the season, and constantly adjust his approach to stay on the bite. Most recently, he put those skills to the test with an impressive 12th-place finish among roughly 12,000 anglers in the 2025 Fall Brawl.

After retiring from a 35-year career with Ford Motor Company, Captain Kevin now has the opportunity to spend more time sharing his passion and knowledge with other anglers.

His approach to guiding is laid-back, informative, and centered around making sure everyone aboard enjoys their time on the lake. Captain Kevin believes strongly in mentorship and is happy to share the techniques, tips, and lessons he's accumulated through decades of fishing and tournament competition. Experienced anglers can dig into the finer points of Lake Erie Walleye fishing, while beginners can learn everything from the ground up.

He's also especially passionate about getting families and younger anglers on the water. Some of Captain Kevin's fondest memories come from fishing with his grandfather, father, and brother, and he's continued that tradition with his own children. He believes fishing is a lifelong hobby, and there's no better time to get hooked than when you're young.

Captain Kevin fishes a wide stretch of Ohio's Lake Erie shoreline and is willing to move between Huron and Geneva depending on the season and where the bite is best. Wherever you meet him, you can expect a welcoming captain who's excited to share his knowledge and help make your day on Lake Erie one to remember.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
