About Your Trip

Get ready to step into the clear mountain waters of northeastern Pennsylvania for a walk-and-wade trout fishing adventure with Brad. A lifelong Pocono native, Brad has spent decades learning the rivers, creeks, and streams throughout the region and will tailor the day around current conditions, your experience level, and what you want to get out of the trip.

These trips can range from accessible stretches of productive trout water to hikes into quieter sections of
river away from the crowds. Depending on conditions, you may fish waters like the Lehigh River, Upper Delaware, Brodhead Creek, Bushkill Creek, Pocono Creek, McMichaels Creek, and other productive streams throughout the Poconos.

Fly fishing is the primary focus, with opportunities to work on everything from casting and fly selection to reading water, managing your drift, and approaching fish in clear mountain streams. Beginners are more than welcome, and Brad is happy to slow things down and teach the fundamentals. More experienced anglers can spend the day exploring new water and refining their approach to freestone trout fishing.

Brad provides rods, reels, leaders, tippet, flies, and the other tackle you'll need for the day. Waders and boots are also available upon request, though warm-weather anglers may have the option to wet-wade. If fly fishing isn't your thing, conventional tackle can be provided as well.

Full-day trips include lunch, snacks, and beverages. Half-day anglers are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks.

You'll need to arrive with a valid Pennsylvania fishing license and trout permit. Polarized sunglasses and a billed hat are strongly recommended, along with sunscreen, bug spray, a rain jacket, and weather-appropriate layers.

Whether you're picking up a fly rod for the first time or looking to explore some of the Poconos' lesser-known trout water, Brad will build the trip around giving you a fun day outside and a better understanding of how to fish these mountain streams.
