About Your Trip

When the sun goes down in Palm Beach, some of the area's most exciting fly fishing is just getting started. Join Scott for a nighttime sight-fishing trip targeting Tarpon and Snook around the illuminated docks and waterways of the Intracoastal.

Dock lights attract schools of baitfish, which in turn draw hungry Snook, Tarpon, and Jacks into the glow. This creates a highly visual style of fishing where you can watch fish move through the light,
make your presentation, and often see the eat happen right in front of you.

Scott will help you dial in your casting, presentation, retrieve, strip set, and fighting angles throughout the trip. With the right conditions and execution, these nights can provide plenty of opportunities and consistent action.

Trips begin shortly after sunset and typically run 4, 5, or 6 hours. Weather, tides, and seasonal patterns all influence the fishing, meaning every night brings something a little different.

If you want to experience South Florida fly fishing in an entirely different way, grab a fly rod and see why Palm Beach's night bite is one of Scott's favorite ways to put anglers on fish.

Scott's passion for fishing started at an early age and has taken him from Michigan to waters across Hawaii, Alaska, Nantucket, Yellowstone, and eventually South Florida.

After settling in Palm Beach, he applied that diverse fishing background to learning Florida's inshore waters and developed a particular passion for targeting Tarpon, Snook, and Redfish on fly.

Scott is most at home exploring wild, hard-to-reach water. Years of fishing, camping, backpacking, and wilderness travel have taken him deep into some of Florida's
most remote fisheries, with the Everglades becoming one of his favorite places to guide.

Conservation is also central to his approach. Scott practices catch and release and supports organizations and initiatives focused on protecting Florida's fisheries and water quality so future generations can enjoy the same wild places he does.
