About Your Trip

Join Mitch and his team for a full or half-day float fishing trip through the mountains of Western North Carolina. Based out of the Asheville area, these trips can target trophy Trout, Smallmouth Bass, or Musky depending on the season, conditions, and what you're looking to chase.

You'll fish from a drift boat or fully outfitted fishing raft, allowing you to cover miles of productive water while taking in the mountain scenery. The team fishes rivers throughout the region, including the Tuckasegee, Nolichucky, French Broad, and other nearby waters. If you have a particular river in mind, just let the team know. Otherwise, they'll choose the best option based on what's fishing well at the time of your trip.

These trips are open to all experience levels. Experienced anglers can spend the day learning a new river, while newer fishermen can expect plenty of hands-on instruction throughout the trip. All necessary fishing equipment is provided, including quality rods, reels, leader, tippet, flies, and other tackle needed for the day. You're also welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.

Mountain weather can change quickly, and many trips take place at higher elevations where temperatures may be cooler than in Asheville. Bring a rain jacket, extra clothes and socks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and any personal items you'll need for the day.

A valid North Carolina fishing license is required and must be purchased before your trip. Limited pickup and drop-off service may also be available from Asheville-area lodging for an additional fee.

Everything Else to Know

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Mitch will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
