About Your Trip

Hop on board with Captain Steve and prepare for an action-packed day of fishing the Florida Keys! The offshore waters off of Marathon Key are perfect for chasing some big game fish in a beautiful environment!

On this 6 to 8-hour trip, Captain Steve will take a few miles off the coast where you'll be fishing for Cobia, Goliath Grouper, Hogfish, Red Grouper, and Sailfish. Depending on the fish you can choose from a variety of techniques and this boat can handle artificial lures, bottom fishing, drift fishing, heavy tackle, jigging, light tackle, live bait and trolling. Let Captain Steve know what you want to fish and he'll get you set with the technique, or ask him what he thinks is biting!

You'll be aboard a 31’ Prowler sportfisher with a capacity for 6 people. Powered by a 315 HP Cummins engine, this vessel will have no problem getting you to the prime spots offshore. On board you'll find a GPS, a Fishfinder, Outriggers, and even a bathroom. Captain Steve will also clean and filet any keepers you catch for no extra charge!

Captain Steve will provide all rods, reels, and tackle. All you need to pack are any food or drinks you might need. He kindly asks that you do not bring spray sunscreen. These family-friendly trips can host up to 6 people, so make sure you bring some good company!

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Steve will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

The bite was spotty at times, but we found a few schools of mahi mahi and were able to catch several of them throughout the day! We only had one keeper size, but it was very exciting to get into them and watch them hit our baits. Captain Steve and first mate Mike worked nonstop to get us into more fish. They can’t control if the fish will bite, but they certainly gave it their best effort. They also had great hospitality and offered plenty of fun stories and advice. We took our fresh catch to Lazy Days that evening and had an incredible dinner.

This was a blast ! We saw sharks up close and landed several yellow jacks which gave us a good fight before being returned to the water. After trying and trying (never give up) we snagged a good sized tarpon. After a good fight which included multiple boat maneuvers it was brought to the side of the boat before being cut loose to fight another day. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the captain and first mate. Both were very attentive to us, making sure that our hooks were still baited and that we had all the help required for landing and documenting our catches before returning them to the water. A great time was had by all! The boat was immaculate and we had no issues if any sort.
