Hit the water with Captain Ruben and experience an unforgettable day of fishing in Port Aransas!

Depending on the time of year and fishing conditions, Captain Ruben will take you to fish either Estes Flats, Aransas Bay, Red Fish Bay, Aransas Bay, and possibly over in the Laguna Madre and occasionally out in the Gulf Surf.

Generally, you will be targeting the main staples of Texas inshore fishing: Red Fish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum. Depending on the time of year, one may be biting stronger than the others and Captain Ruben will let you know which ones you'll be honing in on in the days leading up to your trip.

Captain Ruben will provide all the bait you will need for the day, tackle, as well as rods and reels. All you need to bring is a valid Texas Fishing License for those 17 years of age or older and a cooler with drinks of your choice.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

My son and I went out with Rueben and had a great time. It was a windy day and the fish weren’t initially biting but he took us to a bunch of different spots and we hauled in a few redfish. He was a great role model for my son who wants to be a fishing guide someday. Would definitely go out with him again.

Captain Rueben was great. Fishing was slow but he kept working hard until we boated 4 nice Red fish. We had some of the fillets prepared at Finn’s at his suggestion and they were great. I will definitely book with Captain Rueben again.
