These trips are 7-8 hours and will find us venturing anywhere from 3-20 miles out of the inlet. We will be doing everything from live baiting and jigging the towers to trolling for faster game species. These trips target numerous species, Amberjack, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Mahi and some possible Sailfish encounters. These are fun trips with lots of action and hard pulling fish on light tackle, some of my favorite trips.

About Your Guide

John A.

Independent Guide
Captain John is USCG licensed with over 29 years charter experience and has adventurously fished from the African Coast to the various Alaskan seas, and just about every lake, river and ocean in between. He started deck-handing out on Lakes Erie and Ontario at the age of 9 with his father, learning to charter everything from walleye and yellow perch on Lake Erie to Kings, Steelhead and Coho on Lake Ontario.

Joining the Coast Guard out of high school and
expanding his knowledge, he began fishing commercially on the Chesapeake Bay and deck-handing out of Virginia Beach. During this time, he also took the opportunity to spend 5 months off the coast of Africa catching Marlin, Tuna and everything else the sea is home to. This experience fishing various places and learning techniques, tips and tricks put him on the fast track to being one of the best.

He ventured out on his own in 2013, building a reputation as one of the best captains on Kodiak Island, AK. After 7 solid seasons chasing massive halibut, salmon and lingcod, the opportunity came to move back to the East Coast and to fulfill a burning desire to run with the best, chasing the monsters of the deep blue. Captain John eats, sleeps, and breathes fishing and has a knack for finding fish when no one else can. A day on the water with him is sure to be safe, fun, and exciting—no matter where you are on the open sea.
