About Your Trip

Climb aboard Captain Kerri's 24' Pescador to learn why Port O’Connor provides some of the most exhilarating fishing experiences in Texas. On this trip, Captain Kerri will take you to the best spots for wading! You'll head out on her 24' El Pescador bay boat, a shallow-draft vessel which will let you access some of the skinniest backwater and flats in the area!

Whether you choose to stay in the boat, or hop out to
wade-fish, Captain Kerri will help you chase Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Flounder, together known as the "Texas Big Three". You might also encounter Black Drum, Sheepshead, Ladyfish and other inshore species as well. To catch these fish, you'll do a mix of sight casting and drifting artificial lures. You can also throw popping corks as you drift the bays, but live bait is a small additional cost.

If you want to get out and wade fish, Captain Kerri will provide you with all the boots, belts, nets, and advice to get you on the fish. If the weather is cold you might want to bring your waders, but otherwise, Captain Kerri has got you covered.

Make sure to bring a valid Texas Fishing License, a pair of wading boots, a hat, sunscreen, and any food and drinks of your choice (no glass). Fish cleaning will also be provided when you get back to the dock!
