About Your Trip

Come aboard our beautiful catamaran and see what fishing in Dauphin Island is all about! This is a major trip designed to get you out over some of the best fishing grounds in the Gulf of Mexico. You'll be able to get a taste of everything on this trip, including nearshore reef fishing, offshore trolling, and everything in between. There are so many species available on this trip that we're barely able to list them all!

The Gulf of Mexico is known as the Red Snapper capital of the world. Aside Red Snapper there are also tons of Vermillion Snapper, Triggerfish, Amberjack, grouper and more that can be caught on the same reefs! These fish are all absolutely delicious table fare, and Captain Neal and crew is happy to clean your keepers at the end of the trip.

For surface trolling, there's an abundance of Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, and even Yellowfin Tuna! These pelagic predators are fast and aggressive, and are an absolute blast to catch—plus, they're absolutely delicious! Every species is available when you book a full-day or overnight charter.

You'll be fishing from a 27′ Ameracat catamaran, a fast and super stable vessel that's perfect for offshore fishing in the Gulf. She sports twin Suzuki engines with a total of 400 horsepower, and is decked out with gear and amenities to level up your fishing experience. That includes all the gear you’ll need to catch your next trophy.

Captain Neal will provide everything you need for a blue-ribbon day, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. All you need to bring is sunscreen, proper clothing, sunglasses, and a smile!

You can catch the Dauphin Island-Fort Morgan ferry every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Please visit https://mobilebayferry.com/schedule/ for the daily schedule and pricing.

Captain Justin and his first mate, Barry, are native islanders. Their families have fished the waters near the island for eight generations and counting. Before going into business together, Barry and Justin started fishing out of a small, 12 ft. aluminum boat that ventured out into the Gulf several times! As teenagers, they both deckhanded for charter boats until they had their own boats to fish on. Needless to say, these two know these waters (and fishing spots!) better than anyone. They made a terrific team and were some of the top producers in the charter boat community for years. These guys still fish the waters when their schedules allow, and they are raising rodeo and tournament champions themselves! The ninth generation of islanders is growing up doing what Barry and Justin love - fishing. Dauphin Island holds a special place in their hearts, and they’d love the opportunity to showcase their fishing skills and introduce you to this amazing fishery.
