Offshore trips (a.k.a deep sea, bluewater) are run outside of 9 miles in US federal waters aboard “Killing Time”.

At about 20 to 40 miles from shore, you can fish for Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Spanish Mackerel, Ling (Cobia), and Shark.

Captain Rodney and his crew will come prepared with all the gear, bait, tackle and water you will need to have a successful adventure out on the open ocean. Bring your favorite beverages, sunscreen, and your Texas fishing license and strap in for an adventure of a lifetime!

When Captain Rodney was laid off in May 2016 from the oilfield, his son was also diagnosed with cancer. He immediately had to find an alternative resource to support his family. He had owned his 27' Catamaran, "Revelry", since 2012 and figured he'd have to sell her to make ends meet. Instead, Captain Rodney's wife told him that he should put the boat to work given his love of fishing. And the rest is history!...

And the rest is history! In the first 5 months of 2016 his charter fished over 1,000 customers, and now, Captain Rodney & Co. have 4 boats in the fleet!

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Rodney will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

My wife 😍 and I really enjoyed our time. Brittany and Matthew did a super job with helping us to catch fish and safety. This was the fondness and most adventurous Father's Day I ever had. The guide was not inviting. He never introduced himself and had no concern for our well being. We had two guests who were sea sick and he never showed any concern. While he did finally agree to bring them back to shore, his lack of respect for us as customers and human beings was not professional.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
