About Your Trip

Wade your way into the water with Ken and prepare for an action-packed day of Trout fishing on the fly! This is a catch and release trip.

Ken offers a couple of exciting options to best tailor your trip to your needs. Depending on what you want to do and how much time you have, you can opt for a half or full day on the water with Ken:

**Half-Day:**

This trip is 4 hours.
A great introductory trip, you’ll have the opportunity to learn to cast, tie some knots and then have plenty of time to practice your new skills. Advanced anglers will enjoy a morning or afternoon of great fishing as well! You will drive to one of Ken and his team’s best fishing spots to target some Rainbow and Brown Trout.

**Full-Day:**

This trip is 7-8 hours. On this trip, you will get to go to some of the premier fishing spots in the area. The South Platte, Clear Creek, Williams Fork and Blue River are a few of the rivers you may fish, where you'll be going after some impressive Rainbow and Brown Trout. It is not uncommon to land a fish over 20 inches on these trips! The drives are as scenic as they get.

If you are a beginner, you will learn to cast, tie some knots and much more throughout the day. With the whole day, you will have plenty of time to practice your new found skills, and the possibilities are endless. As an experienced angler, you will get to fish to your heart's content all day long!

Book your trip and get ready to catch some Trout!

How did you get started guiding?

What makes you different from other guides?
It took me years of helping other anglers catch fish to realize that there’s much more to fishing than catching fish. As a guide, I’ve encouraged my clients to appreciate the whole experience - look closely at the fish we just caught; to take pauses to look around at the sun, the clouds, the birds and the flowers, the mountains, and the beauty of creation...Now I remind myself of these same things when I’m on my own!!!

This was my second trip with Ken and the first was excellent... but he still managed to provide us with another fantastic day. I had a novice fly fisherman with me but Ken put us on lots of brown trout, some rainbows and a rare Tiger trout. He is a great guide and I will use him again and highly recommend Ken to anyone of any level who wants to fish in Denver

We had a wonderful trip with Ken last Thursday. My 15 year old son and I loved our first fly fishing experience. While we have done many years of bass fishing in New England we have never done fly fishing. Ken was extremely patient with my son - who doesn't always take advice as teenagers tend to do. In fact Ken stayed with him longer than required so my son could land his first trout and then another and another.

Ken is much more that an guide. Within minutes we knew Ken was going to become our friend. We chatted easily about fishing, family and food - all while he provided expert advice, guidance and encouragement on our technique and flies to use and when. Ken brought us to several of his favorite fishing spots around the area and gave us suggestions on where to go over the next following few days - all of which we did and caught plenty of trout! Ken - thank you so much for being our guide.

I would highly recommend our whole experience with Captain Experiences. They kept in regular contact prior to our trip - suggested an alternative trip based on our fishing experience. A wonderful team to work with!

Thank you!

Our trip with Ken outside of Jefferson, CO was incredible! Ken had every detail covered (including donuts :)) when we arrived river side. The Tarryall Creek was gorgeous and we had a couple mile stretch all to ourselves. Ken is an extremely talented guide who made the experience educational and exciting. Having a trout rise on a dry fly is truly exhilarating!! We highly recommend Ken! On top of the amazing time on the river...

The entire day was memorable and we can’t wait to come back and spend a day with Ken and Dan again.
