About Your Trip

The fishing off the coast of SWFL can be described as nothing short of excellent. The downside is you have to make longer runs than some other places to get the good fishing grounds.

Both our 8 and 10 hr trips get you out to some of our most productive waters! Our primary target is the highly coveted Red Grouper! These hard fighting , delicious species is always a fan favorite! When fishing for them, we fish with locked down drags and go toe to toe with them as they eat and run back for their holes! We call it the 10 ft tug of war!
Of coarse while we are targeting red grouper, we also have other great species like Lane snappers, vermillion snappers, porgies, mangrove snapper and many other species that may take the bait!
Usually we are running 35-50 miles on these trips in water depths from 90-120 ft of water. The 10 hr trip is recommended for the best chance at “limiting out” on red grouper!

Born and raised in South Florida, I have always had an affinity for water and drawn to it. My most fond memories growing up all revolve around playing sports and having a rod in my hand. Form an early age, my excitement for fishing trips would keep me awake in anticipation of the next days adventure.. As I've grown older and maybe a little wiser, my passions have only grown. While we had lots of success, the days of little to no success would drive me crazy and pushed me to practice my craft and try to learn more and more. Fishing to me is not just a passion, it is a way of life. Plus, the views out of my office are pretty sweet. I traded in a job wearing a suit and tie to spend my days on the water, teaching and educating anglers. I often get told this is the biggest grouper, snapper, amberjack, etc etc Ive ever caught. This puts a genuine smile and grin on my face. It is something I strive to do, and take pride in doing regularly.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Trip details changed after the reservation was made. Communication with Captian Experiences was poor to say the least. They notified me that the trip details (expected catch) changed and I shouldn’t expect to catch the species the listing claimed. Then, it was more than FIVE DAYS before they reached out again and failed to respond to several texts. The boat was nice, but not super clean. Captain was experienced but not flexible to adjust the agreement after it was gravely misrepresented. I expected to catch larger fish, as per the listing agreement. If you want to catch a bunch of small lane snapper about 8 to 12” long this is the trip for you - if you want a real opportunity to catch some larger grouper or other mid size fish, you’d likely be disappointed with this “no frills” experience.
