About Your Trip

The deep waters off Port Aransas, Texas hold some of the most diverse and exciting offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, and Captain Addison has the skill and experience to make the most of every hour out there.

This full-day offshore adventure aboard a 40' Sportfisher is built for anglers who want more than a basic day on the water. Port Aransas sits at the edge of some genuinely productive Gulf fishing grounds, where
warm currents, deep structure, and a rich variety of species create the kind of conditions that keep serious anglers coming back season after season. Whether you're chasing the speed and acrobatics of a Sailfish, the hard pull of a Blackfin Tuna, or the reliable action of Red Snapper and Vermillion Snapper on the bottom, the Gulf off Port Aransas delivers on all of it.

Captain Addison brings a versatile and well-rounded approach to every trip. Throughout the day you'll work through a range of proven techniques including trolling, live bait fishing, bottom fishing, jigging, deep dropping, drift fishing, light and heavy tackle, and artificial lures, adapting the strategy to whatever the conditions and the fish are calling for on that particular day. The species list reflects that versatility: Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, White Marlin, Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, and Scamp Grouper are all in play depending on the season. Captain Addison reads the water carefully and adjusts throughout the day to keep your lines where the fish are.

The 40' Sportfisher is as comfortable as it is capable, featuring a spacious deck, modern fishing gear, advanced navigation systems, and air conditioning to keep everyone cool between the action. All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided. Just bring your snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and a hat and Captain Addison handles the rest.

Whether you're a seasoned offshore angler or stepping onto a sportfisher for the first time, the depth of knowledge and genuine passion for fishing that Captain Addison brings to every trip makes for a day on the Gulf that's difficult to top.

Book your trip and find out what the waters off Port Aransas are really capable of.

I’ve been fishing off the coast of Texas for over 12 years. First started out kayak fishing offshore. I did that a few times and it was a bit brutal after flipping in the surf and losing gear a couple of times. Then I went up to a couple seadoos. I bought the seadoo fishpro when it came out and it was an awesome fishing machines. I would often go 50 miles offshore on it....

I would often go 50 miles offshore on it. After those I upgraded to a twin engine center console and now i have a 40 ft express. The express is a very comfortable boat but it requires more work. The texas coast is brutal but it is fun. I often visit Costa Rica to learn more types of fishing to help improve trips out of port a.
