Climb aboard our 32' Twin Vee Catamaran and enjoy the amazing deep-sea experience. Known for its close proximity to deep water, Freeport Texas and our 32ft catamaran's make for the perfect combo. The 32' Twin Vee cuts through the waves making for a smoother and more comfortable ride out to the blue deep!

Our 8-hour snapper trips normally run anywhere from 25-45 miles out. It just depends on where the fish are and the conditions. On your trip, we target federal red snapper, shark, king mackerel, ling or cobia, tarpon, Mahi Mahi, and a plethora of other fish The Gulf has to offer.

If you need a place to rest your head before or after fishing, Capt Leaf would be happy to house you at his lodge for an additional fee, just include a note when booking.

This trip is perfect for just about everyone. If you're an experienced fisherman or it might be your first time on a deep-water trip. Whether you’re male, female, young or old, doesn’t actually matter – everyone loves the feel of the wind in their hair and a day out on the open waters off the coast of Texas. Not to mention we will provide all the equipment, bait, water, ice for your catch and anything else within our power to make sure you have a fun, successful, and safe trip. So all you need to bring is your sunglasses, sunscreen, and Texas fishing license and we will take care of the rest!

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Leaf will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 10 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 10 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Our first time gigging and we all LOVED it! Oldest person was 78 yo and youngest was 10 yrs old. We didn’t see lot of flounders but still had a great time gigging fish and crabs! Capt Leaf and son, Cole, was very knowledgeable and laid back. They made us feel welcomed and communication was timely.

Booked for 10 houe offshore game fish. When we boarded the vessel, I over heard captain Matt be so excited to snapperfish?! Confused I inquired as to why we were snapper fishing when I booked 1400 dollar offshore trip for game fish. He connected me to Heather, the boss who was real nice and explained to her that I have been game fishing all over the world, and I would not waste my time or money snapper fishing. They ate delicious but that was not what we were looking for. We wanted to fight fish. She assured me that she would charge me that we would go for big game.
Well we went out to a marked obstruction on any navigation chart... and sure enough, captain Matt set us up with snapper rigs!!! He put one shark liter out. Oh, we were also supposed to have live bait. They didn't have any on board. Then they through a cast net out twice and that was it. Anyway... the 2 sharks we hooked of course instantly snapped because we weren't set up for "real fish" you know, the ones I paid for... but hey Captain Matt had a blast fishing for those frigging snapper. Glad I could take you fishing
