About Your Trip

Get ready for an unforgettable day on the water with Captain Ben aboard his drift boat, perfect for navigating Washington’s beautiful rivers and pristine fishing spots! Your adventure will begin at first light at your preferred boat launch, where you’ll meet Ben for a quick meet and greet, followed by a safety briefing and a rundown of the day’s plan. Whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re a seasoned angler, Ben will go over the techniques you’ll be using and the gear you’ll have at your disposal to ensure you’re ready for the action.

Your vessel for the day is a drift boat, ideal for silently floating down Washington’s scenic rivers, getting you right into the heart of the action. With no motor noise, you'll experience the peace of nature while quietly stalking your target fish in shallow waters. You’ll have access to top-of-the-line rods, reels, and tackle, all carefully chosen to maximize your chances of landing a prize fish.

Throughout the day, Ben will guide you through various fishing techniques, including, drift fishing and, jigging. He’s a master of the local waters, with knowledge stretching from the upper Columbia to the small hidden gems of Washington’s river systems. As you drift through these scenic waterways, Ben will work tirelessly to ensure you have an exciting and successful day, giving you tips and tricks to improve your technique along the way.

With Ben’s Coast Guard Captain’s License and First Aid/CPR certification, you can trust that your safety is in the best of hands. His extensive experience—ranging from Washington’s rivers to the rugged waters of the Bering Sea—means you’re fishing with someone who knows the ins and outs of every waterway. Over the course of 8 hours on the river, you’ll not only have the chance to catch fish but also explore some of the most picturesque and peaceful fishing spots Washington has to offer.

Bringing the family along? Kids are more than welcome, and they’ll love the hands-on experience of fishing from a drift boat! Make sure to ask about child-sized life vests or bring your own. And don’t forget the snacks—keeping those energy levels up is key to a full day of fun on the water!

Depending on the time of year, you could be targeting anything from Salmon and Steelhead to Trout and other native species. Some species may have seasonal restrictions or require special tags, so be sure to check ahead of time. Ben will ensure you’re fishing legally and responsibly, while also aiming to fill your catch cards with plenty of fish to take home.

At the end of your drift, you’ll return to the launch, where Ben will clean and process your catch for you, making it easy to bring home and enjoy with friends and family. Before heading out, snap some pictures and share a few stories about the fish you landed and the ones that got away!

Before your trip, be sure to grab a local fishing license for everyone in your group. Then get ready for an incredible day of fishing in Washington’s most peaceful and productive fisheries. Whether you’re looking for an action-packed day on the river or just want to enjoy a relaxing float with the family, Captain Ben is here to make sure your day is nothing short of amazing!
