Captain Jason runs his trips on the renowned waters of Lake Guntersville and Lewis Smith Lake, two of Alabama’s top fishing destinations. Lake Guntersville is famous for its world-class Largemouth Bass fishing, while Lewis Smith Lake offers crystal-clear waters and the chance to hook into Spotted Bass, as well as other species. Whether you're targeting your personal best or simply enjoying a relaxing day with friends or family, these lakes provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable fishing trip.

You’ll be fishing aboard Jason’s sleek Falcon F20 Bass boat, which accommodates up to 3 passengers comfortably. Equipped with high-performance fishing gear, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures, this boat is designed to maximize your success on the water. If you prefer live bait, just let Jason know in advance—he’ll make sure it’s ready for your trip. With Jason’s expertise, you’ll be guided to the best fishing spots, using the right techniques to increase your chances of hooking into some action.

For youth anglers and beginners, Jason goes above and beyond to make the experience educational and exciting. He’ll teach the basics of fishing—what fish are, where they live, and how to catch them. For those aiming to up their game, Jason also offers more advanced training, covering specialized techniques and even competition or tournament preparation. No matter your age or skill level, Captain Jason’s enthusiasm and teaching ability make every trip a fun learning experience.

Captain Jason offers 4-hour and 6-hour charters, giving you flexibility to choose the trip length that works best for you. On these outings, he’ll share his extensive knowledge of the lakes and ensure you leave with new skills and a greater appreciation for the sport of fishing. Families will be happy to know that kids are welcome, making this a great opportunity to introduce young anglers to the joys of the outdoors.

Before your trip, make sure everyone in your group has an Alabama freshwater fishing license, which can be purchased online or in person. Pack sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and plenty of snacks and drinks to stay comfortable throughout the day. While alcohol isn’t allowed on board, the fun and adventure will more than make up for it!

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
