Whether you're booking a half-day outing or a full day on the water, you'll spend your time exploring productive structure with a guide who knows the lake inside and out.

Throughout the day, Dave will tailor the trip to current fishing conditions, seasonal patterns, and your experience level. Depending on the time of year, you'll fish expansive grass beds, creek channels, offshore ledges, submerged structure, and other productive areas that consistently hold fish. Using a combination of light and heavy tackle techniques, you'll cast jigs, work bottom presentations, and fish proven bass patterns that Dave has refined through decades of tournament competition and guiding.

While largemouth bass are the primary focus, Guntersville's incredible diversity offers opportunities to target smallmouth bass, spotted bass, hybrid striped bass, and crappie depending on the season and conditions. Every trip is different, and Dave enjoys teaching the strategies, lure selection, and presentations that help anglers become more successful long after the trip is over.

Your day takes place aboard a tournament-ready 21-foot Ranger Z521 bass boat powered by a 250 HP Mercury Pro XS V8. Purpose-built for freshwater fishing, the boat provides a fast, stable, and comfortable platform for up to two anglers while being equipped with modern electronics, GPS, fish-finding technology, live bait storage, and premium fishing equipment to help maximize your time on the water.

All rods, reels, tackle, artificial lures, snacks, bottled water, and soft drinks are provided, so there's no need to bring your own gear unless you'd like to. Simply purchase a valid Alabama fishing license before your trip, pack any additional food you'd like, dress appropriately for the weather, and don't forget sunscreen and polarized sunglasses.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
